I absolutely love plants and living in the desert! I am a transplanted Californian who landed in Arizona over 23 years ago after marrying the man of my dreams. At first, I made a lot of mistakes in the garden because I was following the wrong rules. Rules that applied to gardens in other climates, not mine. And so, I learned a very important lesson - gardening in the desert is not difficult, it is just different. So, I decided to learn how to garden the 'desert way' and went to school to earn my degree in horticulture and I haven't looked back since. My passion is to help people learn how to have a beautiful garden that is low-maintenance, using plants that thrive in our climate. It isn't hard and you may be surprised at how easy it is.

Wow, what blooms! The second one from the bottom is just breathtaking -- it looks like a kaleidoscope. :)
