Can you spot the Landscape No-No in this photo?🌳

The problem is that the emitter is too close to the trunk of the tree, so it’s not getting water where it needs it most. I see this all the time.

As trees grow their roots grow outward and the ends are concentrated where the branches end.

How can you fix this? Add more emitters, equally spaced around your tree.

The Arizona Municipal Water Users Association has a free publication that guides homeowners through landscape watering. Other areas have this as well.
